    WTB Poulan 3700 fuel tank

I have a Canadian Poulan 3700 that has a split in the fuel tank at the cap threads. I can’t fix it so I need a replacement. Saw runs great BTW. Slow but strong.

    Amsoil Saber

I am not trying to start another oil argument but simply asking about using Saber. I have used it for years with no issues but not at 100 to 1. I normally used it at 75:1. I have recently been been using Red Armor at 45:1 with great results. Idling, running, and smoke was always better with...

    Husqvarna 440e 2 tuning question

Two things I suppose .........is the full time 4 stroke sound at WOT, normal and is the ( visually observed through the spark plug hole) hiccup in the piston travel normal? I am probably over analyzing. OCD I suppose . The saw does cuts well for what it is, but this is a bit different than...

    Husqvarna 440e 2 tuning question

I have several chainsaws that I have accumulated over the years. I have found them pretty easy to tune by ear then verify with a tach. Friday, oI picked up a 440e 2 at Tractor Supply. It was a return that I got for a good price. I know this is a risk so I got the TSC warranty. I pulled the...

    Stihl Ultra or Amsoil Saber

Sorry...new member here and I obviously didn’t use the search feature correctly. I apologize for the trouble.

    Stihl Ultra or Amsoil Saber

INTERESTING! I never knew about the disdain for Ultra. How does Saber stack up in the protection/clean burning category? What would be your top 3 oils that are readily available? I am not that concerned about cost as long as it is not exorbitant. Lastly, is there really a big difference in...

    Stihl Ultra or Amsoil Saber

For those who have been into saws run on each, do you have a preference as to which oil protects/lubricates the internal parts the best......assuming the same mix ( even though Saber is more viscous and designed to run leaner mixtures)? Also does one burn cleaner than the other? Thanks

Another Noob question dealing with the 272xp

Yeah I checked that with a piece of wire. The channel is open and the hole on the bow/bar lines up with the oil channel on the saw. You can tell from the paint rub and I measured it also. With a bow it is pumping up hill pretty good

Another Noob question dealing with the 272xp

Right now I am using a bow but I have a 20 and a 28 inch bar. The bars don’t leak by as much as the bow. Checked alignment and everything matches up. Oil hole matches up and oil channel on the bow is open. I do have the Oiler set on 4 which is max.

First post and I am already asking for help

Sounds great. Sorry, but what is NOS? Sent ramrat a message......I think??? The website said start a conversation so hopefully I contacted him. I am used to sending PM’s so this is a little different format than what I am used to. Thanks!!!

Another Noob question dealing with the 272xp

Wonder if it would be of benefit to make a thin fiber gasket to put behind the stainless plate to seal things better so more of the lube is directed into the chain track instead of leaking out beside the bar?

Another Noob question dealing with the 272xp

My saw, a 1997 272xp. Has a thin stainless steel “plate or gasket “ that fits between the motor housing and the bar/bow. It fits over the bar studs and has a cutout for the bar lube channel. What purpose does this serve other than to allow bar lube to seep by? Seems like I would get a better...

If a good after market filter will soon be available, I will be in tall cotton. I could use 3 of them. Sounds like it is in the works???
