    Tormek Sharpener

sounds like the out of round wobble I had with my Wen. With the Tormek truing jig no pressure is required, just feed the diamond cutter across, a few light passes later and the stone is true.

    Tormek Sharpener

I've had a Wen 4270 for over 5 years and its been great. I sharpen knives and scissors, and only occasional use. So I don't know how it would hold up with daily use compared to the Tormek. The wheel did have a slight wobble from the factory, but trued up very easily. Also worth noting with the...

    572xp carburetor nozzle

I had a spare 562 carb on the shelf. Punched the nozzle out of the 572 and 562. Both are 5x7mm. Atomizer looks the same, but the feed hole is larger on the 572 nozzle. 562 on left 572 on right this is a dumb idea right? chances I can get all the brass out and don't clog the...

    572xp carburetor nozzle

When I first started diagnosing the super rich condition I assumed I was going to find a leak, probably crank seal, and auto tune trying to compensate. However the saw holds pressure/vac just dandy. The carb holds pressure on the feed side, but will not hold any vacuum on the purge side. looks...

    572xp carburetor nozzle

found a part number on Zama's website... I don't see it available for purchase anywhere. I reached out to Zama to see if they could get in touch with a retailer that could special order it. No word back yet.

    572xp carburetor nozzle

The saw was running insanely rich and dying when coming off throttle. I threw a rebuild kit at it but still not holding vacuum and sounds like the nozzle is leaking. I can't seem to find a part number for the nozzle anywhere, but did find a part number for the 562. Anyone know if they happen to...

DOLMAR/MAKITA The Official Sachs Dolmar Dolmar Makita Dolmar Chainsaws Thread

awesome! I was going to order a pound of every orange variant. you just saved me $1,947,649.22 I owe you a beer :-) I see colorimeter devices for fairly cheap, but also assume you get what you pay for and decided to not waste my money. Surely for $100 I'm not going to get good accuracy? of...

DOLMAR/MAKITA The Official Sachs Dolmar Dolmar Makita Dolmar Chainsaws Thread

I'm looking to powder coat some dolmar cases. anyone got a RAL color code that gets me close to dolmar "red" ? I used an app that tries to color match from a photo. It looks decently close on my phone, but when I look up examples of RAL 2002 online it doesn't look quite right.

    What's on your bench?

speaking of srm230s.... I was dropping some junk off at the transfer station last week and there was a brand new looking srm230 in the metal scrap pile. I gave it a pull and it had good compression. seemed to be just missing air filter/cover so I brought it home. Put a bit of gas in it... pull...

    What's on your bench?

how big of a log do you expect to move with it? are you thinking a log arch with enough frame to support removable floor/sides ? or more of a trailer that you have a way to winch/grapple a log onto?
