If i remeber correctly the XR had a adjustable carb needle and XL did not,, we put XR needles in the XL and moved the needle up,,, bike ran much cooler... guess that would ad to life as well, economy dropped a little found my pics

Item3 so what can you do with a DVOM??? What settings and what do you see??? Somewhere it was suggested to not test #2 with vom on ohms scale as you fry it??

got 2 661 stihls. Both i have no history on but. neither will got into reset either method,, no label on saw foot. Saw will not go to fast idle with choke. have changed injector, metered the harness,,, Mtronic sucks. Have a 261 that was a bear to get into reset. Finallly one day it goes into...
