I agree. I like ported saws not so much for the speed anymore but so I can cut with a longer bar on a smaller lighter saw.

I seldom bother with the 088 unless it is over 4 foot on the stump, for the most part 24" usually gets most things done.

At 66 I begrudgingly pull out the 088 with 42" bar about once twice a year for something exceptionally large and like you happily put it...

at 74 my go to units are still the 64xx and 79xx Domars, when the big nasties show up then it is my 084 with either a 42" or 60" bar...
