Trust me, I’d love to compare it to something that’s been ported 1 of 1 and not a mass produced kit. I have my 462 being ported now by CFB but I believe he’s winding down his services and I don’t know of anyone besides Donny walker that takes work in Canada.
I don’t know if maybe its computer just isn’t used to the new hardware and it just isn’t setting itself correctly. I did what Donny walker said and let kit just idle for 15 minutes just to let it do anything on a program level.
Chain was new and the bar had low time on it and wasn’t damaged. Chain was on correct. I believe I was cutting ash the day it really was acting up. I even checked the chain again when I got home and there was no damage to it. Luckily I have a brand new cylinder and piston if I wanted to get it...
I have a header pipe for a muffler and it seems fine for exhausting. I’ll have to look into the timing. I had read before that because of the EFI it doesn’t need it but that may just be fake news lol
Mine always seems to slip. Like I said, doing a back cut I literally couldn’t get the clutch to engage and had to pull the whole thing out. No obstructions to the bar or chain, brake was off and the chain wasn’t against the hinge wood.
I ran it stock and it still seemed to bind even then. Maybe I’m just bad at this? lol. I don’t know. I enjoy it though and don’t get to cut as often as I like but when I do I just don’t get to cut as much as I want. I’m getting a 462 ported by CFB right now so if I get it back and it outperforms...
I know the second I say who ported it it’s going to be really controversial. Ripsaw lol. Just bought a cylinder kit and put it on. Runs fine with no load but the second it touches big wood it binds. I was doing a back cut with a fresh chain and even with the kerf clean I couldn’t get it going...
