Carb kit arrived today . Wish me luck.....

Does anyone have any suggestions for the above post ? I think I may order a rebuild kit today and give that a shot . The old components looked to be in perfect shape during reassembly but I may have missed something .

I forgot to mention that I actually did slowly turn the low speed air screw slowly clockwise and counterclockwise from its initial setting of 1 & 1/2 turns out while feathering the throttle to keep it running. Even at its highest obtainable RPM , it still required trigger to keep from dying.

Having a problem with the idle though. I have to keep the throttle cracked for it to stay running . Idle screw is all the way in and the lever is past the taper of the screw and resting on the threads . Something isn't right ☹️.

I mixed up some Red Armor at 32:1 and I may light this up today or tomorrow. I would like to ask one more question: Has Homelite ever offered these with their own case ? I know I could always buy a generic box style case that would work (or a bag ) but if the company made their own case , I'd...

Just put the last bolts in set the points & the air gap. If it wasn't 8° out , I'd light her up .

Love getting stuff in packaging that's older than me 😆.

Condenser came Saturday but I got an email that the cover was not available. I ordered one from Leon's on Sunday and it should be here Friday.

You might be right . I thought the cork gasket looked in much too good shape to be original . Now it makes sense.

The red fuel cap isn't the stock color ? It was on the saw when I got it so I really don't know .

....so close I can taste (smell) it . Condenser should be here today but the point dust cover hasn't shipped yet . In the meantime , the bar / chain / clutch drum & needle cage bearing kit from Lil-Red-Barn fit perfectly.

Is that muffler gutted or is the baffle / spark arrestor still in there ?

To follow up , my saw uses Phelon 08589 Condenser
