Husqvarna 543xp from Bruce. Slightly more than the Echo. Handles very well and is as simple as it gets. One of the best hot weather starting saws that I have seen. Take the limiters off and adjust yourself.

My son's first saw was Husqvarna 550xp mark 1. He is strong with large hands. I think a Husqvarna 543xp is a great saw to start with. Jonsered 2172 and Husqvarna 372. Run well and feel balanced in the hands. I run 24 Sugi with a square ground chain. Great combination.

I have a 543xp it's a very good saw. Muffler mod it and pull off the limiters and after 8 to 10 tanks it will run well for a small saw. It starts hot or cold all the time. I run a 16 bar with a .325 chain. Good luck with your choice
