    If pulleys/idlers/bearings ok,let belt wear in a bit. Had a brand new mower once that that squealed all the time. Replaced belt and ok. That was at the dealership.

    No adjustments. Does noise stop once cutters up to speed? If it does,not uncommon for noise on start up. Worked for a JD dealership here down under for a couple of years.

    May not be sparking under compression. Open plug gap to about 3/16 inch and see if it sparks against cylinder. Or it is badly flooded.
