Did some cleanup at mother in laws house Thanksgiving. Wife got a new 261 she wanted to be the first to run it.
It was a little different picking the mess up and cleaning the area before she cut. She had a blast running the new saw.
My thoughts of the saw. I did cut down 3 small trees with it.
I have owned an early model 261c and hated it. Thought we would give the new version another try. I must say I'm overall very impressed with the saw. Its the easiest starting saw I've ran very light and nimble. I will say as of now the 550xp mark 1 I had cut a little quicker stock for stock. The 261 will out cut a stock 346xp but I do prefer the feel of the 346 better. The springs in the 261 feel slightly soft. I like a little firmer feel. My favorite 50cc I have is my jred 2149/2153 mm bgd. That saw is perfection. Out of the new saws on the market I would take the 261c in the 50cc class. I do wish some of the older models were still being made. Mainly the 346 and 550 mark 1
