Anyone have any advice on removing a clutch/pulley from a TS 400?

I'm trying to do seals on my brother's TS 400. Have the flywheel off, and the nut for the clutch/pulley, but can't seem to get the darn thing to budge.

Thanks.

Lock the pulley is some wood in the vice. Take a brass drift and drive on the crank. Good luck.

Mower at work had a small leak, figured I’d tighten the fitting. Went to move and shot fluid clear across the shop! 3hrs later the line is off and has a crack just after the flare.

Came off with a gear puller so easily I'm embarrassed! My Harbor Freight tool came through! The pulley separates from the clutch, even though they look as though they are one.

A 441 C-M currently... with erratic running issues. Hopefully the 33$ solenoid I had to order fixes the problem or I’m converting this sob to standard carb! :loco:

How hard is it to convert a mtronic 441 to non mtronic? Any stihl experts here? Just curious.

I HATE those things!!!!!!!! The County has four of them, every time I see one the stupid thing needs $2,000.00 worth of work, JUNK!!!!

Do yourself a favor and replace the O Rings at the hydraulic cooler while you have it that far apart. Major pain in the keister to do that much work for a $0.79 part.

Next in line on bench is the old IEL PIONEER. Need to find a carb kit for it. If anybody happens to know the part number to a diaphram kit that will work please let me know.

That's an IEL model HC.
The carb it came with should be a tilly HL-8A or HL-8AX according to Acres site. Doesn't say which kit it takes

Well i just had a look at it and the carb lower part looks same as the mac D carb. I just ordered another kit to try.

Well, both seals are out of that TS 400, but I have never had so much trouble pulling seals before, even broke one of my modified screwdrivers.

I think a real seal puller tool may be in my future. The time I wasted pulling these seals just does not make sense.

Did you happen to tap the seal with a socket to help loosen and making removal easier?
