Handle repair day :D
Friend down the street wanted to use my TIG...that I have yet to master...
Sure! Once you get your stuff done, can you look at a couple busted wrap handles? 😃
3 junk handles are now usable, wee! 2100, 266-272....
He does Magnesium as well...hmm...

He's a retired pro industrial welder, lol

Now, I just need to get him to teach me :p

Yes. Get him to teach you.
A retired welding inspector, from a large manufacturing company, taught me more in 5 minutes than high school did in 9 weeks. He would give me some pieces to weld together. He would break them apart and tell me how it failed, then tell me how to fix it. He told me not to worry about what the bead looks like on the surface, they make grinding wheels every day. Worry about penetration. 5 minutes.
Get him to teach you before he's gone. You'll be glad you did.

I cleaned up well enough to run, it's going on a clone saw so I'm sure it will do better than the aftermarket cylinder.

1995 is the year, week 14 and 286th saw made that week.

Some had the decomp, some didn't.
It's 4 years older than me so 🤣.
It has a big gash taken out of the back of the piston and a crack on the front of the top fin. I fitted the decomp out of my non running 385. I also cleaned out the carb and fitted a new fuel filter. The gaskets and diaphragms all seem fine. Hopefully it runs.

No joy so far. She's not getting spark. I tried two different could and two different plugs.
