029 super. I used Dirko HT grey. Ordered Red but when I opened the box at assembly time it was grey. I hope it works over time. Time will tell. Lmk if I should redo it asap. Thanks.

Here is what they have to say: I do not see a difference in solvent resistance, drying time yes, you may see something different.

Whats all broken that you can see so far , case useless?
Flywheel side case, brake flag, top handle, fuel tank, clutch cover, all av springs, muffler (or just bump it out). Case sides are not available separately, you buy both for around $450, short block around $580.

Good lord!
I mean I understand why you would buy a new saw if it was skidder modified now.

Thank you for the info. It seems the elasticity is more for the red than the grey. This is a small crankcase so I can’t imagine there’s much flex. Nonetheless, if anyone knows Grey is a sure train wreck LMK. TQ.

Currently have my echo 7310p on the bench. Trying to fit a 25" stihl light bar that a buddy made me a screaming deal on. Backed the chain tensioner all the way back and it fits on but the 84 dl chain is like a guitar string. First thought was to drill a different tensioner hole in front of the existing one to allow the bar further back, but I don't want the tail too close to the rim so it's throwing the chain constantly. Should I be concerned about that with the amount of room I still have. Next thought was to try a chain that's one drive link longer? Just seems like the distance between would be too great and I would end up with the opposite problem and would run out of forward travel in the tensioner before I got the chain tight. Just kind of thinking out loud. If anyone has any ideas please share.

1 link on 3/8th shouldn't be dramatic over a 24" loop.
I've added a link for an 8 pin rim before.

Thanks chief. Looks like I'll be stopping by the local store today to have them look at me sideways as I ask for them to make me a pair of 85 dl chains

Cleaned up this 026 I got couple weeks ago, had wrap handle and few other things it needed. Ordered a carb and it runs great.

I've got a buddy with an 026 as well, I've had the pleasure of running it a few times. Just limbing with it. Pulls the 18" that he has on it with noooo problem. Enjoy it!

I've not worked on a AM 361 tank handle, but for most of the AM tank handles I've worked with it pays to keep the OEM control levers when possible.
Got it all back together this afternoon and it went back together smoothly! Seems to work just fine. He has a new bar and chain for it, the ones that were on it were trash.
