My 19 hp Kawasaki stopped cold the other day. Drained the carb and fuel line. Think I found my issue. Lot of water and dirt. It's a old mower. I was wondering why it had no power.

Thats the same thing that happened to my 20hp Kawasaki recently. Still have yet to put the carb back on. My feeling is rain water is getting in there somehow. Maybe through the air cleaner/breather. Second time its happened to me. Was running fine then all of sudden....poooofff..

Fired up some saws for a gtg next weekend. 55 air injection, 357xp and my buddy's 026. Gonna find one more tomorrow evening.

Did a service call to pull a dead battery out of a Husqvarna rider I serviced this spring. The key was left on. Got it on the charger and I'll load test it tomorrow evening to see if it's ok. Not sure how it'll fare considering it's almost 6 years old.

I have an Echo GT-200R trimmer that is giving me fits. This has a non-adjustable Zama carburetor and will not pump enough fuel to run above idle. Starts and restarts easily with the choke, runs at idle, but dies if the throttle is opened.

I have cleaned and rebuilt the carburetor using a new kit, set the metering lever about 0.040" above the floor of the carburetor body, replaced the fuel lines, tank vent line, and tank vent. Crankshaft seals are good (holds pressure and vacuum) and the impulse port is open, the gasket has a channel to align with the port on the trimmer and the hole in the carburetor.

I have even tried a different spark plug with no difference.

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I suppose Tannerite may be one way to go...

Is that really a Magnum? I thought Mags had the dp cover, but if I'm seeing that correctly it's only got the one port.
Here in NZ only the MS460 came with a dual-port muffler, and as far as I am aware all MS461's have a single port. Here's another one I sold back in November 18

Magnum is just a sticker these days.

Correct, it's just a sticker. Although I think the MS660's sold here in NZ and Aussie were true magnums, they had the factory dual port muffler and were noticeably more powerful than the ones sold in the States (which I think were single port?)

I think Magnum was only used on Stihl's pro line of saws? So in a way like Husky's XP
Yeah, but way, way back it meant a bigger top end (056 Mag, 038 Mag, etc), then it meant better cylinder porting and different venturi sizes in the 046 (I think) and a DP cover, then on the 460 it just meant DP cover, now it's just as meaningless as XP? Husky's XP has meant nada beyond a "pro" designation since its inception, a 2100CD and a 2101 XP are the same (for all intents and purposes).

I never post here because I am mechanically illiterate for the most part. 260 locked up in the cut, I thought the bar got jammed up with sawdust so I grabbed another saw. Got home and took the bar off, it was not jammed. Could not pull the starter cord. Called a member here and walked me through some things; eventually got the starter cover off and could turn the flywheel up and down but not a full 360. The piston was stopping at the top of the combustion chamber. Tried to take cylinder off but don’t have the right tools. Ordered the chainsaw tool kit from HLS and waiting on delivery.

I usually use just a regular T27 screwdriver from Menards. You could probably find something local if you didn't want to wait for shipping.
