Still plugging along on the 041. Complete overhaul on the 029, new c/p, bearings, seals, did a very conservative cleanup of intake and exhaust. Going to mod the muffler, knocked 0.010 off the key to bump timing, just order a de-comp for it as well as his dad has bad shoulders and has trouble starting the saw. Going to start on his Husqy 445, just a minor tune-up and muff mod.

it cover 160/163/180/280/380/480/+ old 266,
M10×1 for flywheel side and 1/2" UNC left hand threads for PTO side.

590 I couldnt stand the factory tune that the stops allowed me. Pulled them both for fine tuning today. Much better in the cuts now too.
It had a slight bog at transition I couldn't stand. I couldnt open the L up any further due to the stop tab. All better now.

Started on a project 3450 that suppose to be a runner. Replacing the lines I notice it has a hda49 on it. So throw a hda164 on it (unknown condition as came on another parts saw but looked new) and cant get it running. Pulled 164 apart cant see anything really wrong with the kit. So going to throw a nos hda137 on it and see.
That did the trick. She is a runner. New NOS carb on 2 pulls pops, 3rd pull running.

I have been an engine swapping fool lately; this was the fifth one in two weeks.

029 is running strong, waiting on the new oil pump and clutch/sprocket/bearing.

Got all the heat tape installed on the inside the 041 FB around where the cyl is housed. I also welded up the gill slits in the muffler and welded on a deflector. Got some finish sanding/prepping to do on the muffler before it gets painted and installed. Still waiting on the rim/sprocket to arrive for it.

Managed to get the timesert in and the muff reattached on Mel’s 034S. That’s all the free time I’ve had for saws this week.

Heading in for my last day of torture this week. Trying my best to keep my hours for the workweek to under 90. I get no overtime or extra pay for that. I may call the department of labor on my Boss. Oh wait...

All the warranty saws I get from my dealer. He takes the S/N tag off of them.
