No, filter was on it, dirty, but there. Just stuck. Didn’t pay cylinder much attention since I found the crank in two pieces. Flywheel bearing is fooked also. It will be replaced with a 261 if I can talk my boss into it. Being a municipality we usually get the cheapest stuff. I am slowly trying to change that.

A local fellow stopped by yesterday afternoon and asked me to look at his (mother's) Husqvarna 350. He thought the screw was missing from the bar adjuster because the chain jumped when he tried to use the saw.

That's a piece of the nose sprocket sticking out of the bar...

I had a new bar on hand but could only come up with a good used drum/sprocket so we fit it with a used chain and he's back in business.

Got my new spikes and decal from @Wilhelm thanks again. Officially done now

Used take-off spike!
New OEM decal though.

Forgot to send a shout out to @av8or3 he came in clutch on a lot of parts for this one
Sorry, I know a 7900 clutch was part of the deal but it would have affected shipping negatively!

Best saws ever, I used two of mine most of today under extremely unfavorable conditions!
Than You @Shane¹ for helping keep Dolmar alive.

My uncle brought me this 44 rancher a few months back. It’s been sitting on my shop floor since. Finally tore into it today & the thing looks almost brand new. Did a base gasket delete, a mild timing advance & removed the puddle of sticky stuff that used to be the fuel line. I almost feel bad giving this one back to him since he isn’t real easy on saws 😂. Anyone run one of these? I’m considering offering to trade him for a husky 350.D314F918-5CA0-43D2-9C8C-53DD34FCC6C4.jpeg7419D73C-23FF-4FAF-A6CC-64078CB716A4.jpegC18F0008-B884-460F-A1B4-EBD92EBCF3B3.jpeg3D1D322C-FF56-46C0-AD8F-CC42C9F4978F.jpeg

IMG_5531.jpegIMG_5532.jpegIMG_5534.jpegIMG_5533.jpegOff the bench and into the wood yard. Pics or it didn’t happen. Took the 500i and left the 166 at home.
That’s the homeowner, with his daddy’s small Homelite. Told me his dad cut up many trees this size with it. Hmmmm…..
Anyway it all worked out ok. No drips, runs or errors . I’m worn out. Chainsaws are only fun for about 15 min, then it becomes work.

That homelite is dirty enough for a lifetime of work.
Thats one heck of a good pile of firewood!

@Wilhelm is awesome - He's helped me with a bunch of stuff over the years.
I can attest to that! Done a Lot of back and forth business with @Wilhelm and it’s always correct, and packed better than anything I’ve ever seen. I’ve even had the pleasure of visiting him in Croatia.
