Still a fan of R50 even with it's drawbacks. If I get back to cutting soon and burn up the K2 I, have I may give Klotz original a try for good measure.[emoji6]

I'd suggest keeping a very close eye on it. This is about a year on R50, 40/1 and proper tune. Mill saw (394)has very different results.

I just tore down a Husky 365 2002 model owner (firewood seller) uses Husky XP since new 40:1. Had very light carbon buildup on top of piston came off w/red scotchbrite pad. Light oil film inside crankcase still had visible machine lines on piston. Comp was 116psi using comp tester from Echo Service tool kit. New OEM ring, carb. kit, tygon fuel line & Husky filter, BGD and good to go.

I’ve been using Husqvarna xp for quite some time. Recently saw a video posted by Hotsaw101. He didn’t give it a good review at all. Kinda has me wondering.

Correct. That’s a 2150 cyl. My 346 was bad too. When I sent it to Eric, upon tear down he contacted me and wanted to know what erl I used. He described a gooy sludge build up. I didn’t take long to tear into the Jonny and that’s when I took that pic.
I do have pics on my laptop of the 394. I used the Husky XP oil for years till I got into milling. It completely choked me out. At 40/1 I had plenty of coverage on inspection and a slight carbon build up on the crown. Cylinder looked great IMO. Now I use the KLOTZ I have left for milling and I burn Red Armor in everything else to help clean up the damage done. I’ve never pulled my 357 apart to inspect, just peeked in the ex port.

I just cut firewood no milling, stumping or anything like that. Most everything I cut is 20” or less in diameter. All saws are stock except for one ported 550xp. So should I stick with Husqvarna xp oil or try something else? Belray h1/r? Klotz of Road? Thanks for everyone’s input. :)

That would be subjective here til the end of time!!:D Dont think u could go wrong with Klotz Kl200, Dolmar Syn., Red Armor, K2, Saber, R2
