320 pages is just here, there is the same thread on AS that was longer than this one. And the search is still on for the "perfect" oil. Stay tuned...
Haha right. I've used Stihl ultra for years now and just switched it up to h1r never had any problems with ultra other than a bit of residue.

Piston from a ported falling saw with 6 weeks of run time since new.
50:1 stihl oil View attachment 26096
In 6 weeks time there's no telling how many gallons this saw burned of stihl ultra. I didn't think it looked to bad but it was tuned right.

That said it 4 corner seized like straight gas but it was just 50:1 and getting worked hard.

I think there gas can got a little lean on oil over the course of the day.

Shouldn't you guys be lubricating yer insides with spirits tonight instead of arguing over oil for a saw. It's the fourth(Almost) get out there and celebrate your god givin freedoms that we will have to fight for in the future. Ok, nevermind..it's time for bed.lol

There is no room for error at 50:1
This saw like all of them I take apart that's run on ultra at 50:1 is bone dry inside.
No oil on anything.

I beat the *s-word out of my saws at 40:1 and it's oily inside and dry on the piston crown.

So 2% oil in fuel mix.....everything is bone dry but 2.5% oil makes everything nice & oily... interesting.

i run 32:1 kind of difficult to screw up 4 ounces per gallon.
For some it is, we had a building engineer that burn't up many a stihl trimmer cause he put no oil in gas. he was a complete idiot and they never fired him. I could write a book on the stupid crap he done.

Hot lard is ideal for frying the fishes,,ya' gotta' drop the fillets just about the time it starts to smoke and not too many at the same time or you'll cool things off and the fishes will be greasy..unless your swilling cold frosties,,if'n cold frosties are part of the mix, it's best to avoid that fine line of smoking hot lard and just swim the fishes thru hot oil, peanut oil, canola oil, it doesn't matter at that point because the cold frosties will make anything deep fried taste good.

Actually yes I do. Just have to know the length of your string. Half throttle will kill the hell out of your flowers too

I was thinking the same thing...my fs94 has that throttle control thing and other than playing with it the day i bought the trimmer i cant say ive ever used it...i run it balls out 95% of the time.

I have 2 ported fs250's and I don't run either because wackers fn suck.
Wfo or at a idle you still have to carry the heavy vibrating peice of *s-word.
Should get a double harness, I run my FS 250 four to six hours a day sometimes. It takes the weight off your arms. Don't use that single strap that comes with it.

I have a harness but I'm tall and can't adjust it so I don't have to bend.
