Anyone else seem to roll their ankle every couple of months? It’s always fun hobbling around for a week hoping you don’t reroll it. This isn’t too serious but maybe I’m not the only knucklehead that steps in holes. Second pic is the size I prefer in my ankles.

Roll/twist yes, every half dozen years or so. Happened earlier in the year, took 4 weeks to get mostly back, an 6-8 weeks b4 the bruising and swelling t completely subside.
I slipped on ice, full pain didn't set in for 30 minutes to an hour.

I was wearing my low top hiking work boots which didn’t help either. The Jesus Chasers are sketchers and are built for large flat footed goons like myself haha

They were low tops, sneaker height hiking boots. Ll Beans and I like them for the days I’m on my feet all day. I will be switching back to some kind of mid to high hiker, next new pair of boots. My other pair are Merrels mid and they’re pretty decent for the price.

Roast me all you want but those mandals are like riding a moped :eusa_whistle:

I live in Merrells. They're making safety shoes now, not as comfortable as Moab' s but better than a lot of the other garbage I've tried.

That, among other hazards, is why I wear sturdy boots, even for walks with the pup.

Oh I twisted ankles and it is no fun! o_O

It is a chronic problem with me (both ankles). I switched to Hoka Gaviota (wide) for every day walking and stuff; they have made a world of difference. I wish they came in a boot for working

I’ll take a look at hoka sneakers. Fresh insoles and having a half dozen or more shoes and boots to cycle through is helping with the flatfootedness.

I shattered my left femur, causing vascular problems. Better than having leg removed. Google stasis ulcers, dealt with them for years
