Hello,
I have been searching for something to use to seal (or re-seal) carburetor welch plugs since the old standbys of a decade or two ago, Seal All and nail polish, won't hold up to the ethanol in gas.
I was wondering about using a type of cyanoacrylic adhesive i.e. Super Glue. I did some research and found that cyanoacrylates are VERY resistant to BOTH gasoline AND ethanol. See the attached datasheet for Loctite 406 product.
So, have any of you ever tried using super glue in this application? If so, what were your results?
