That's my personal fuel tank, contains the elixir of life needed to keep my whistle wet. Says 54 oz but I have never investigated to be sure...more important than American Express.

I've been keeping busy trying to get the parts identified and organized in such a way that I can find them when needed, and often when someone does not have the correct part number available. I can assure you, this is no simple task when you consider the spreadsheet has almost 7,000 lines by now.

Most recently my son has been helping when he can and has been a great help both with his computer skills and his diligence finding things and getting them properly filed away. We have been through most of the part numbers and recently completed the pistons, rings, crankshafts, connecting rods, and clutches & drums. Whew.

Today we put up the plaques I've been accumulating from the vintage chainsaw event at the annual Steam and Gas show in Baraboo, WI. 10 years worth, hopefully I'll remember to take the string down soon.

When you come for a visit, have a look in the hallway connecting the display up front with the shop in back.

Philbert stopped by this weekend to see the museum and give me a hand getting a few more saws cleaned up and ready to go into the display.

Even cleaned up, a few are still pretty rough so I will need to find a place high up on the shelves so they are not too obvious.

Phil also brought some good things to eat, and an interesting early "pole pruner"...I'll try to remember and get some photos.

A visit to the museum. Really a great collection. A lot of photos have already been posted; I will try to add some new views.

I encourage anyone passing through this part of the Midwest to swing through.

With all of the attention to cleaning up saws and moving them to the display, I had created some space in my garage at the house so today we moved a load of saws (around 85???) from a friends building across town.

The bottom row was already filled...

We had to put three 2 man saws up overhead in the museum building.

Thank you, you are welcome to come for a visit. Should only be about 4 days of driving.

I stopped by another collectors place on my way from from the PNW GTG this week, a very nice display and many great saws.

I have one in the display already, but it has the chain brake and not the hand guard. Now I have both.

This one has the special brass mesh air filter that is intended to work with the warm air duct over the muffler.
