I'm sure about what's trending with a 044 muffler mod but this is what I've been doing lately. This is actually a 046 muffler but I do the same to the 044 mufflers.

The drill marks are from drilling the spot welds out. I removed the entire internal baffle box.
This used to be inside the muffler

It will take some getting use too but I went up did the first job feeling out its capabilities and its an amazing machine

I used a lift similar to this a few weeks ago. It was the trailer type not self propelled. I found it was easier to let the ground man put me where I needed to be. Then I could focus on the saws and watch for power lines etc.

But then again I don't do it every day.

Forgot about these. I took down an nasty maple for my neihbor a couple weeks ago. While we were chatting I asked if he had any old dead saws. Nothing spectacular but from that one tree I also got another 40 acres to cut firewood on.

I was a fellas house today and spotted the Poulan under his bench. Ive read good things about the mag cases Poulans so I asked him whatcha gonna do with that. He said its yours if you want it but you have to take the rest of them.View attachment 3319

That one is a 330. I fixed it and its now my work rig saw. Impressive for thier size.

I believe its 6" a side, almost a whole track width

The track lift we have can spread tracks while sitting in place looks scarey at first but I get use to it. Or you can lift it spread em and drop it down. Made in Italy and every control lever is ball bearing not bushings

Ours will, but it's hard on the turf when you're not moving
