The wyeth-Scott more power puller useful tool?

Recently got my 4WD Truck stuck good-(high centered on the snowbank) Dug for hours to try to get myself out unsuccessfully. Finally ended up riding my quad until I could get cell service to get somebody out on a rescue mission-($250). I vowed to not let that happen again. Just wondering if you guys find this tool useful with tree work. To me it seems like a good insurance policy to have with you. Just looking for opinions on it from guys who had some hands-on experience using it.

Yup, I have had one for many years, it has gotten me out of many a jam.
Also good for pulling trees.
