I don't know who makes/made it, but my PS-6400 is running a "white box" 47mm AM piston kit with Caber ring and very well so.

I have some HLSupply 52mm AM piston kits, but luckily I didn't need them yet.

I wouldn't worry , just use an OEM/Caber piston ring.
Unless it is a ported saw, in which case, din't be cheap and go OEM all the way!

I was trying to find one today…best I saw was $204 for a 7900 and maybe $214 for a 7910. Maybe that was the best price going.

I had been buying the side decomp cylinder with updated slab side piston 038 130 070 for about $145-150, but just checked and looks to be $185 + $25 S&H now.

@SOS Ridgerider , are those 7900/7910 P&C kits sold out at that source You found a long while back?
SLE has the 7900 kit 038-130-070 for $186.50, and the 7910 kit 038-130-071 for $224.50. Used to be $148.50 and $179.50. Both says add to cart, so they should be available. Those prices are plus shipping, just FYI.

If a man could buy a spanky new EA5000p for less than $400...would he be a fool not to buy one and have it ported? This man already owns 3 50cc saws.
For that price this man would be a fool asking a thousand questions in an open forum instead of jumping on that deal without second thoughts and no questions asked!

Just saying since we are speaking hypothetical.

Cheers

I did some painting this weekend. This Dolmar 144A came to me with marks in the clutch cover left when somebody used a sanding disk to remove corrosion, I guess. Then just painted over them with the wrong color paint. Not sure how they missed the decal. Aslo, there was a chunk missing from the recoil side of the hood. I was able to get a hood from CCC so I stripped both , filled and contoured the clutch cover, cleaned corrosion from the hood, filled and sanded then shot em’. They came out great! Oh, new Dolmar 144A decal inbound from our friend in Germany. Will look awesome.
Your saw looks great as does the one above it!

The decal you are getting from Germany; is it oem or a custom repro? I need to find someone that does custom decals since I am restoring an old Husky 77 and will need decals for it at some point.

The decal for the Dolmar is coming from Germany. It’s a repro. I’m not certain, but a company called Sugar Creek Supply may make the decal set for thst Husky.

Thank you av8or3. I have purchased quite a few decals from Sugar Creek and he does have a set for the 77 but it is for the L77 and not the older A77. I have asked Joe in the past about custom decals and he didn't seem too keen but I will check with him again.
