Hello everybody,

let me introduce myself into this remarkable thread, which for whatever
reasons has little to none german members so far.

So I am german and live in the vicinities of Dolmar City,
about 30 km south of Hamburg, where the Dolmars come from.

I'm hobbyist firewood logger and started collecting Dolmar saws
a few years ago. I'd rather collect Porsche 914 cars (of which I own
at least one), but there are financial limitations as well as space
considerations which prevent me to do so.
So there are Dolmar saws instead, they are much cheaper and consume remarkbly less space.

Nuff said.

would be appreciated?

central column:

  • Sachs-Dolmar 110 Black&White
  • Sachs-Dolmar 108 Black&White

If you're interested I'll introduce the more uncommon of these models in upcoming posts, some of
the saws were german or european market only, thus international audience
might not even know them.

Today's arrival:
rechts.jpg links.jpg

A second PS-3410 built 2012 in mint condition. The saw has done a single test-cutting recently but was dormant the years before.
Fueled up she fired after three times tearing the rope.

This model has been discontinued (at least in germany) early 2018.

I also prefer to run .325 on 50cc saws. On my ported 50cc saws I run a .325 8 pin to make up for the difference.
The Dolmar PS-550 is a factory ported 50cc saw!
At 55.6cc she's running on steroids. :pesas:

Willkommen in der Verruecktenanstalt!
Ich bin ein Deutscher sag es aber niemandem.

I am in love with Your yellow Sachs-Dolmar 105 (Model 40) and Your white Sachs-Dolmar 108! :icon12:
I have a nostalgic sweet spot for the 105/108's and Your's look great.

There are a couple active German members here.
I guess the Germans generally just hang out on German chainsaw forums.

Ps 6800i, didn’t know they made that size, sounds like I need one. Did the 7300 take its place?

The PS-6800i is the direct successor of the 120si, more or less the same saw
with a renewed chain brake which fires on kick-back.
As the name suggests, its 68 ccm and 4,9 (or 5.0 depending on sources) HP DIN.

In Germany they started out the recall with the latest builds only.
In the meantime they have broadened it to cover the entire series beginning with
the old PS-6400, 7330 and 7900 up to most recent models.View attachment 149841

I'll have to check into it, try to get them (Makita) to send me four sets of replacement parts.

I am unsure how to feel about sending four saws forth and back, but I guess one at a time I might go for it.
