Buddy at work gave me a 16" loop of old school TM1. Any major differences between this and the RM3 and RS3? Obviously it has the triple hump safety link, do they cut very well?

My local dealer has rs3 loops cheap. I'm just lazy and don't want to spend the time to understand safety them for it.

Dont get them to hot grinding them. You can temper the cutter doing so.

I've done it twice. Once with a forester combe with shark fins, the other came on a saw I bought. It takes about 5 minutes on a bench grinder for a 20" loop. Grind one off, skip 5, grind another, skip 5, grind another...keeps the heat off your hands. I don't think enough heat gets to an adjacent tooth to hurt it.

Topic super and micro where a full sized 3/8 chassis but with a low profile tooth before .325 come around. Don't use and keep it the way it is as NOS of that chain is quite collectable

It's slightly used. Still has the green paint full on the safety link. Not really pristine NOS.

Is this true? We got a partial roll of 36tm that I've been just about giving away to get it off my shelf.

I had the TS stuff NOS and TS TM isnt collectible IMO. Folks buy and use it still when they know you got it. Reg chain prices for it. All of mine was 33
