I must has missed where you mentioned it's a Gear-drive, regardless the 66mm 090 top end is a bolt on upgrade.

I didn’t mention it. Because I wasn’t sure if it was a g or an av until today. And the reason why they put the 070 top end on the gear drives was over heating issues. At least that’s what I’m told.

Just as a point of interest, the first of the 090G saws (like yours) where built from remaining Contra Lightning G parts and were in fact chain driven saws as apposed to actual gears, making these even rarer.

I can’t find any images of the top decals like that. Usually the sticker says Stihl or it has riveted plate. I haven’t seen an 090G sticker with the raised Stihl on the top cover.

Your top cover /shroud decals are correct for that era of 090G.

Any guess on how to remove the flywheel with out the Stihl flywheel removal tool? I managed to carefully put a 3 jaw puller on the flywheel and tap on the jack shaft a few times and no budge. I have it soaking in penetrating oil, so I can wait patiently. Any other ideas.
