Thanks for all the kind words. This saw is ever bit as nice as it looks in the pics. I bought the saw from an older gentleman who bought the saw new. He used the saw to cut up a few trees and then he hurt his shoulder and couldn’t pull it over anymore. He had the elastostart pull cord added, but still no go. He bought an 026 and shelved the 044 just in case. If anyone has questions or would like serial # info let me know. I’d keep this gem but I’m putting some cash together to fix up a shop for my woodworking tools.

Someone who’s got a a very good case of CAD got this...

I'm interested to know the serial as it was a 10mm And had an HD filter set up...shame @Whiskers never took it out for vid and got it a bit dirty with it..

Serial is 120xxxxxx well before 12mm. I’ve had quite a few 10mm 044s and they all had HD filter setups. The 064s I’ve had have not, might be a regional thing.

My dads 044 serial 128xxxxx is 10mm and had the same filter as above. We swapped to the hd2. I can’t tell much difference in performance. We added a factory dual port cover. Nice saws
