Got a Stihl 034 up for sale.runs idles oils good.compression is great.saw is pretty darn clean.i replaced the oil pump, worm gear, clutch, and clutch drum.has a 8 tooth .325 on it that I had is like new.i bought a new oem oil line kit but didn't work so well.those kits are junk.i tried heating up the tube with a heat gun 3 times to get it on the pump and all it did was trash the hose.so I installed some heat resistance nitro RC car fuel line with the brass tube from the kit and worked great.very easy to install that way.i also bought a new rope and aftermarket rotor for the starter housing.big mistake there junk.so I'm gonna order a new oem starter prawl and rope.thats all it really needed.i will have that done ASAP.i have a bar and 2 chains also for extra if wanted.$300.00 plus shipping.

Good looking saw there. Is this saw the 48mm cylinder? Ive kinda always liked the feel if the 034 036 saws. 60ish cc saws are bout perfect for what i do. Has anyone ever ran a 034 with a 24inch 3/8. .050 full comp setup? Bar burried in hardwood enough to say it was disappointing and or abusive and too hard on a 034 to do it for a full truck and pup load about 10 pulp cord plus random stuff every year. My pops is still missing the 630 he blew up and he cant start them when they are freshly rebuilt. They have too much comp even with basegasket for him to pull over fast enough to start. I wondering is a 034 like this would be better then the husky 455 i bought him 2 years ago that he runs most. Then the 350 thats been modded with a am 346 p&c from kafar thanks @Mattyo. He still has a old poulan 3400 but hates running is as he swares its manual oil only. So what does everyone or the op think about my intended use if you were even able to wade thru my rambling and terrible grammer to understand what my needs were.

24in bar .375 would be to much I think.it has pretty good power 56.5cc 20in bar would do fine.455 is a pretty darn good home ranch saw.but this has magnesium cases 455 does not.i think this would have more poop than a 455.

I think I've posted a thread on how to install that line several times. It's actually pretty simple. I seriously doubt the fuel line you used will hold up over time.

No heat needed.

Just follow the directions that come with the kit to a tee.

The pliers with the hole drilled thru them are an absolute must.
