SELLING Stihl 026

Here is another of my many 026 saws. I do not remember where is came from or history but I have had it for at last 6 years. I rarely sell saws with bars and chains but this one has a 16" .325 and I use 20" 3/8 on all saws through 066 so I am including the bar. I have not pulled the muffler and checked comp but it feels good. I will check them later tonight. I am thinking a carb kit, tank vent and a bit of work she she be good to go.

No do not need those.

I thought the tank vent was missing but it is not. As you can see it looks like it has a decomp top end but plugged. The piston looks good from the exhaust end. The comp is 170PSI. It is missing the lower left muffler bolt and possibly a small thing or two but hell folks it is a used saw.

I figure $225 plus actual shipping

I gave it a shot of prime yesterday and it did not want to pull fuel from the tank so with a bit of fuel system work it should go.

So this is an 026 project saw, correct? Have the seals ever been replaced? What's the intake boot like?

I have no history on it and do not remember where it came from. It has been here on a shelf for probably 6 years or so. I have well over 800 saws and many I do not remember where they came from. I sold all of my project 024/026 saws and I have 2 complete ones left. This one and one I cut with.

May I ask how you have so many saws? And I think in the past you said you buy crates of used saws at a time… who sells you the crates of saws? I might contact you this Summer with a list of some specific ones I’m looking for.

Yes I buy and trade saws on every continent except the cold one. I do not kick folks tires when items are up for sale or trade. I believe when I sell my prices are reasonable as well as my shipping.

The 044 will be listed here later tonight or tomorrow night. I fired it up earlier but the comp test was not good......not good at all. I need to take a peak inside.
