Finally got time, Meteor cylinder, base was only piss cut to clean it up, top end cleaned up also.

EX - 100

IN - 82

Transfers are 124 on the PTO side, 128 on the flywheel side.

I suppose with the head not being there I may be able to do some grinding on the upper transfers.

The piston acts as the valves in these engines, adding to the complexity.

The crown architecture aids in directing the incoming charge and outgoing exhaust.

It’s fascinating stuff. The piston wash is tough to decipher. Below is the piston wash on one of the best runners I have ever built. Makes no sense, as it looks SO wrong.

Your transfer wash pattern got my attention, looks like it could be spitting some charge out. Are you mains aimed more towards centre of the bore or angled more to exhaust port? Here's my ported 090 transfer wash, gonna attempt to fix it and find out how it responds

Mine are aimed at the intake side squishband. The wash looks looks a photo-negative of what a good wash should look like. The saw runs very well though.

Hmm interesting, it could be actually the loop finishing right at the exhaust port before closing. If thats what it is, then it'll definitely run well. Mind sharing BD and CC of that setup?

I think doc did share that info somewhere at some point, but I couldn’t tell you where to find it as I can’t remember the thread..
