Yes. I agree. But not bend under regular cutting. The after market chinese spikes I bought were terrible.
I didn't know you meant regular cutting this happened to me when a log rolled and jammed the saw I still can't believe it didn't rip the spike clean off the cover and I'm surprised that the tsmura bar did not bend it was flexed a very long way that is why I use them all the time now.

Yes sir. That stinks. The Chinese AM spikes I used were brand new but they weren't hardened correctly if even at all.
If you go AM, go with a good well known company like the ones previously mentioned.
