“They don’t call it Dominator for no good raisin”.

some may not know, but a while back there was some secret testing done. Run stuff super lean for hours full throttle until it blows. Dominator one by running for like 9 hours at 300:1 or some craziness.

Anyone still following eggs testing. He invited some to join another forum. I know some guys are members there but I can only do so many forums. I pop in here and come back So probably not gonna join another. I still check out AS on occasion. Not really scanning as much chainsaw stuff as I once did.
I don’t cut as much this time of year but I still check stuff out.

Was just wondering if anything else has scored nearly as high in the testing

A local tree company I work on saws for also uses Dominator and all their saws look clean inside after years of abuse. They have only had one saw blow up(365) and it put the rod through the block so I dont think the oil was the cause of that one.

Nope! Sometimes things just break! That happens when you use tools all day.

Jeez, I can literally get it at my local gas station in quarts and gallons. I believe a gallon is $50ish?

Thing is, I don't run weed wackers much. Lets try all this testing in a chainsaw, and for good measure, lets do it fully loaded, milling...

I agree but also close enough to make the point.

If I come across a cheap saw I’ll try it.

I’d be willing to bet dominater would do well in that application at a respectable ratio. That’s what I gathered from the testing.

I see your point. But at 50:1 milling even. I’m pretty confident it would do well. Try one of the oils that failed early. Well it may not do so well

Just to clarify, I'm not implying it's not good oil.

Right right. I’m agreeing. Just feel like there’s still knowledgeable info in those tests was all. Fairly sure the top oils in those tests would do very well even a little bit lean (the mix not the adjustment) in chainsaws. I liked the testing. Didn’t really change how I do things.

I gave 60 for red armor. Not sure what it’s at now. I stocked up on motor oil 10$gallon 10 gallons valvoline 15-40

13$ gallon 10 gallons of shell rotella 15-40 t4
60 bucks for 5 gallons of car quest 15-40.

Fairly sure it’ll be a while if we ever see normal prices again
