Yup, way smother running than the new junk you can buy these days.

The silly thing is, I've sold at least a dozen of these on eBay in the last ten years, and then I end up having to buy one off ebay.....
I bought mine for $10 @ garage sale.
I asked the guy if he could plug it in to make sure it works.
He was holding it in his arms & I plugged it in.
I saw it start but he looked at me & said "well damn, it used to work"!
I told him it's working now. Lol
Smooth is right.

That was a great buy!
I love a good garage sale. 👍

Trouble is you have to go to a lot of (garbage) sales for every good one you find.

The $5 jigsaw is definitely 40 years old, the guy said it was blowing up fuses, that's why no one looked at it in the photo. I found the inscription Lesto on the casing and the inscription Scintilla Szwajcaria on the engine, I already know it by the color of the casing. See how clogged the ventilation holes are - this monument definitely needs service. Heavy armored equipment

Needed another pair of chaps since my son has started sawing. Got the huskies cuz I saw @afleetcommand use them with wedges in the pocket.

I think I used a fireside friend somewhere as a kid and vaguely remember it. Been wanting one and stumbled on one for a decent deal. $34 I think. Why have two hammer faces when you can have one and a chopper!

I bet it will work as a compact small tree wedge driver too.

Expensive this time, a Metabo grinder for $30 😉 West Germany, so it is 35 years old or older and requires inspection. The clutch and slow start of the engine works like a Meybach, it's amazing 🤠

I collect 😉 and sometimes I use them 🤠 I like Metabo, provided it is old, I already have several devices. Covers are a problem because grinders with a clutch have a thick flange of 2" or more

I like the older Metabo machines. My grinder has the least amount of vibration of all my grinders. My hammerdrill is serious for it's size.

I added grease and blew it out with compressed air, nuts from a newer Metabo 😎 and I also had a handle from the era. A rubber cable was installed because someone installed a hard plastic one

was technically yesterday, but an experiment....LOL a loop of square ground chain, 3/8 .050 72dl for the old 044, and a chisel file for said chain...see if A. i like it, and B can file it.... might end up switching everything over if i like it....

In addition to the bearings, the brushes are also blocked / It plays and hums 😎 I haven't replaced anything yet, I did the service and for testing 😉
