I can't figure this out. Tried a 20" Husky bar on this Jonsered 2077, would not fit.

Husqvarna 531301147 FT288-72 20-Inch Guide Bar, 0.058

Archer 20" Chainsaw Chain 3/8" Pitch Full Chisel .058 Gauge 72 DL Drive Links

What would be the right bar on Amazon? Thanks.

Large mount Husky is what it should be. I don't know the code for it. Someone will be along soon with that info.

Stupid question, but did you pull off the second bar plate before you test-fitted the bar?

Pretty sure that is a small mount bar you bought. Oregon K095.

The saw is 77cc so its gonna be D009/Husky large mount. Any bar that fits a 562, 372,390, etc, will work.

Is this the right one?

Oregon 200VXLHK095 Gauge 3/8" Pitch VersaCut Guide Bar, 20" on Amazon?

That link I posted is a good deal from a good seller. I've bought from him 3 times. That's even a jonsered branded bar.

Thanks, would probably order that but have more chains than I need now.
That bar alone you posted showed up at $44 on Amazon. The bar and chain combo I posted is $40. In my mind, that's a free chain plus $4. Sorry but I don't see your logic about not needing any more chains.

I was trying to find a bar on Amazon.

Also was looking for compatibility with my other larger saws, which may not be possible.

Could I just change out the sprocket and go with an 050?

I have a Husquavarna bar on my comparable Jonsered 2077, bought it at the local power equipment shop for over $70, it has these numbers on it: husquavarna bar 598 00 75-72/ HT 388-72/RSN B 20"/.058/3/8

Is there an equal quality unit for less money? I transferred the Husky bar and chain to the other saw.

That eBay link is what you need. It's the exact same as your $70 Husqvarna bar, it is just branded jonsered. .050 is the width of the bar groove not the sprocket.

He actually accepts lower offers in his "make offer" option, I ordered it.

Good, I ordered one from him in 18" small mount. You can't beat his prices. If you have the extra money you might want to get another one. There not going to get any cheaper.

How could these be comparable to the Husquavarna bars I cited for more than double?
