Figured I'd pick up a used case half and throw some new bearings at it. Then I saw this...
Seems like a rather large gap between the rod and crank weights.

Pretty cool to be able to fix things like that. I wish I had the ability, but have too many irons in the fire as it is.

I think the bearing pocket issue could have been fixed with Loctite bearing retainer. But cases are still available and are relatively inexpensive for a good used one.
