Nice saw. Any guess how it would do 36” full skip buried in red oak for example? Asking for a friend…

I can’t speak to this exact saw, but yes I believe it will handle that fine. I have a Rattler ported 390 and it has pulled full comp 32 in oak and hickory without noticing. I don’t have a 36 anymore (I had a 394 for that) but I’m sure the 390 would. ‘Ol Mike builds a stout saw.

Yes it will really nicely. I had a ported 2188 with full comp and it didn't disappoint.

I’m tempted just to try it…but with a 2166, 7900, and 395 all ported…

If I can sell my 181 to my neighbor I'll probably get this, and if I do you can swing by and run it whenever. I'm thinking this is a nice modern saw that should fill the gap between a 2100 and 372 nicely, but I'm still on the fence a little.
