I also have a feeling I'm gonna love this 288 that will be back on its way from Mike Shetley rattler362.IMG_20151130_174157.jpg
Or this 288 that I will probably just keep stock!IMG_20150714_165916.jpg
But I really do like my KS hda 87a 262 also!IMG_20150904_162302.jpg
See that's my problem. I have to many favorite's and not enough hand's!

One of the 2 series saws you haven't had yet! But I don't know if that gives you many options.

In truth, Id rather have a 2 series than any other saw. It's noteworthy, that others have stated that the 262 is overrated, but it's the 1st 2 series saw that is mentioned in this thread. I find a "Mastermind" ported 262 to be exhilarating, to say the least. Ive had 242, Mint 242 (regret selling), another 242, ported 246, ported 254xp , ported 254xpg, Nos 268, ported 272xp, 5 ported 262s, 1 stock 262xp, 2100, ported 288 lite, and nos 288 lite. All I have now is my mint ported 262xp that I got from Cgraham1, my 288xp lite that I got from Mastermind (that started my obsession with Husq), and my NOS 288xp that resides in my house. I sold my mint MMWS 2188 west coast to cgraham1, bc I LOVE my 288xp, and have the infamous blue goo 395xp for the big stuff.

How did your ported 242/246's compare to your ported 254?

I realize that there is a 10cc's difference, but is it worth trying to find one since I already have a 254?

Is it comfortable running the saw like that?
Are you referring to me running it left-handed (I'm ambidextrous), wearing the back-brace (I had my L5-S1 disc removed and the joint fused at the end of August and this was taken in Sept) or bent like that (I'm 6'2" and the bucking stand was short)?

Yes, it was uncomfortable, but even with a freshly fused joint, I had to play some as I ain't dead yet....
