That number isn't in the system here in the US.

There's also a part number for a red 90cc case for the 2188 and whatever the Red Max model is; 598 663 709. It's on the IPL's but also not yet in the system.

I forgot to mention that there are also part numbers for 545M2 and 565 short blocks; but again not in the system yet. So, this is evolving as we go.
That is ashame Bob. I found the 560 short block number by a bit luck since I've not been that much into the history of 60cc saws.
If my memory is correct those 562 & 560 short blocks had those numbers:

562:
580 66 37 10
580 66 37 08
580 66 37 06
580 66 37 04
580 66 37 02

560:
580 66 37 09
580 66 37 07
580 66 37 05
580 66 37 03
580 66 37 01

Controversies like this IH thing are draining as well as distracting. Suggest we all wash our hands of the sideshow and it's never ending comments and move forward. Enjoy the build of this saw and how we came together on it, without jumping back into how the whole thing came about. No need to keep beating up on the other side, and after a week is there really anything new to be said about it? And let's not start any new threads to cover the same ground.

Nice shiny 390 short blocks are here BTW. No pics...…..til I find where the camera is.

I missed this one......

Well said my friend.

Find that camera !!!!

How many people replaced a toasted big end rod bearing crank? This could of saved a lot of coin - finding a good used crank, gaskets, seals, the $40 bearing seal etc plus all shinny & new paint.

The crank pin isn't available. These are two piece cranks.....not three piece like a bike crank.

3 questions

how much for a 550 and a 562 sb. Ballparkish

is that grinder what is used for velocity ports.

at which location should I plan to deliver the switchback this year?

562 SB is only $120. It's cheaper than the top end. :)

550M2 currently listed at $332. (Won't work for original 550's.) Doesn't look like the new stuff is going to start out cheap.

No price yet on the 572 SB.

I'm going to Dan's. :)

I’ve done about a half dozen cranks for the big end. There’s no way to get to it without splitting the case and after the side loads on a used bearing being split and assembled again I wouldn’t re use them.

Spike is that a 2260 case? I have done about 4 of those for the bearings failing . I have almost a complete saw in the basement that needs a case cause it got a tree on it. If so whats the price on them?

No, only the 562 case is available for the 60cc chassis. Could be a large mount option for rebuilding 2260's, but it would get expensive quick. There'd have to be some other additions regarding the oil pump, gear, line, bar plate, side cover. Silver would give it the old 621 color scheme. Jonsered 2262 for a model number?

The red case I was referring to is for the Jonsered 2188.

Ok. I have done that and it looks good but that saw feels better and more balanced with the small mount bar to me. So what is the res case you posted?
