Very cool. What happens to the mash ?
After it's ground it goes to a tank that heats the mash slightly throughout. Then into the solids/liquids separator. The solids are spit out the back and are completely dry after the process.
Most presses burn the seed pits (solids) to heat water and the rest goes to make other products.
The liquids are transferred to a centrifuge style separator that leaves only the finished oil.
