Before he passed.
My cousin a marine who was in korea and vietnam.
Had me take his colt commercial 1911a1
It was still like new.
And clean it thoroughly
He said it was given to him as he went
To korea by the sheriff and friends.
In a town he lived in.
He really took care of that pistol
His son inherited it when he passed.

Never had a RIA
a guy i know has a 10mm
And will shoot sub 2 inch groups
At 25 yards.
He's going to deer hunt with it

I have an M45A1, was a gift from Colt. Had it since 2012 and haven’t put a single round through it. I have a signed target by each of the 3 Colt employees who did fire that particular pistol.
