Up for sale is two hanks of Sterling HTP 3/8 static rope. Perfect for rescue work, caving, and single rope technique due to it not being “bouncy”. I just have so much rope in my shops and arsenal of climbing equipment that I think it’s a waste to have them sit here unused. The green hank is 31m or a little over 100ft, and the black rope is 44m or just over 144 ft. Like the title says new and never used, and neither rope has any spliced or sewn eyes. Asking $100 for the green rope plus cost of shipping, and $135 for the black rope plus shipping. I’m willing to negotiate as well, Feel free to call or text me (518)222-6394

I appreciate you thinking of me, Ive actually got a couple static lines that I really enjoy right now, and like the OP, my shop is getting crowded with gear. Good deal on these ropes though for sure
Mike is a good dude. Just gave ya a heads up in case you were in needs.

Let me think, I might take you up on that offer. I could use a rope bag

Edit
I just saw it's only 100ft. I think that is too short to be useful to me.

@Nutball …. What length you need brother just hit me up at the cellphone number, I’m a full time production climber, lots of new and used ropes, but I only would hook you up with new. Pricing would be different but hit me up if interested

How big is the biggest you plan on pulling weight wise… if your going large, I’m partial to the 3/4 notch kraken. It’s rough as nails and stronger than heck. Notch also has the kraken in 1/2 that is affordably priced and lighter rope over all, especially a coil of 200 + feet, 3/4 rope at or above 200ft is always a nice workout coiling and carrying… no matter how much experience you have lol

Thanks for responding.
I would like to have the full working load of the 12,000 pound winch, at least.
Had a tree a while back, I thought was going to break the rope I have now. (It's old 1" wire pulling rope from a local electric company.)
It still gives me shivers thinking of what would have happened if that rope would have broken. Two houses were in the "bad" zone.

Just looked up the rope you mentioned.
Working load to tensile strength is a large jump.
2000 lb rope work on a 12,000 lb winch?

I would have to say as a politically correct answer… my guess would be to get the proper safety specs on a rope or cable to use the full 12000lb of the winch… id have to say cable is your “text book” proper answer in my opinion. But with that being said, I can tell you we pull over monsters against the lean with the 3/4 kraken, tied off to our bucket truck itself, the 12,000lb winches on the bucket truck , tied to skid steers, our excavators, you name it we’ve pulled on kraken with it and I honestly haven’t seen or felt like the kraken was going to break… there’s been times where I think that if we don’t get enough ass in the pull that the tree will pull the equipment or truck the wrong way before it breaks the rope in my opinion. It’s amazingly strong.

Okay,
I'm convinced. Do you sell this rope or would it be better to look locally?
With fuel so high, shipping costs with have to continue to increase.
Thanks again. I appreciate the insight.

I do not sell this rope nor do I work for sherrill tree, treestuff or any of the sort. Or notch the manufacturer of said rope. But notch also makes a 7/8 or 22mm diameter rope which is even bigger than 3/4 -19mm rope. The average breaking strength of the 7/8 is 28,900lb. The average breaking strength of the 3/4 rope is 18,400lb. Just you can decide which one you’d rather have buddy. I would possibly be able to help get you a discount if you decide to order, shipping should be free to your do via sherrill tree. Like I said if you do your research and are ready to order through sherrill, I may be able to get you a decent discount bud just pm me
