New cylinder squish area questions

So I ordered this cylinder along with a kit on deal of the day and with all my readying of some of the AM quality issues I decided to open it up to have a look. Here is a picture of the squish area and the top of the piston. Would this clean up or does it need to be returned. Thanks

It’s the ms660 kit from HL but the PC is the cross. I bought it thinking it’d be better than the one in the kit

I just sent a pic on a bad deal of the day 288 cylinder and they shipped me another.
Didn't have to return the bad one.

The bad thing (at least for me) is that they’re already sending me a replacement set of cases because the one in the kit was cracked. I’m more than willing to send the bad parts back so they can take it up with the supplier. HL customer service has been top notch all the way.

Yeah id try for a new one. May be able to sand this piss out of it to get that plating off there, but i wouldnt until you get with HLS about it

Thanks for the info guys, I contacted HLS and they’re sending a return label to swap it out. The guy that helped me even went ahead and opened up the one they are sending to make sure it’s good to go.
