I rescued this trimmer from the dumpster. It was missing several key parts. Most of the parts were NLA, so I bought them used on ebay. Airbox cover, carb, and carb choke plate with lever. My question is the air box cover has a knob that turns, and there is a lever that attaches to the choke plate. There is no connectivity between the two, and the parts diagram shows none. Does anyone have this trimmer, to tell me how these parts go together? I will try to get some photos.

The cover is for a carb with an enrichment circuit instead of a choke plate. Need better pics of the carb to see what type of system you need.

I hope these two pictures help. I am really baffled here, on what I have. No spark also, so new coil is on the way. This thing sat in pieces for many years.

Ok, that is the choke carb. Uses that plate with the blue handle on it. You need a different air filter cover. This is the one you need.

Thanks, that looks about right. The parts diagrams are very deceptive, on what parts are compatable. I will see if I can locate the correct cover.

Is there a part number for the cover you show? Mine was 753-1192.
