I have an update on my 500i thread, but forgot to mention it here. The kit is awesome if you don’t care for the sloppy AV on the 500. Easy to swap the AV parts, and the saw handles much better now for my application.

@CLEARCUT

Did you happen to take any pictures of the kit when you got it?

Looks to me the foam buffer is part number 1135 791 2800.

Spring looks like 1144 791 3103 fits 661 and 462.

Spring 1144 791 3102 is what the 500i has from the factory

I searched threw part smart for those rubber stop buffers. Thinking they may not be a stihl part but from another manufacturer. But I dont know.

The only complaint I have with my MMWS 441CMR is the mushy anti-vibe springs.

I am curious if this kit would fit and work for my 441?

Any input from our members would be Greatly appreciated!

Chet

Send it back to MMWS & tell him he returned the wrong saw.

That is precisely why I bought this saw, better av, easier on the hands etc. So I don’t want mine to feel any stiffer. It will usually have a 24” bar on it most of the time anyway. I haven’t had a use for my 32” bar....yet.

The spring and foam piece, yes. I’m not sure where the rubber buffers are from yet.

I am glad you like the kit!

I designed those for Gordy at WCS and it took a few rounds of prototypes and testing with some loggers out west.

We had the stock rubber buffers tested for durometer and matched it with a resin.

These parts, along with the flanges on the air filters we make, and also my vstack adapters are made where Cole Armbruster @Armbru84 works ( or a division of )
He set me up awhile back and things have since improved in the 3d printing world for me, thus allowing me to come up with more designs that can me made of strong nylon based materials, resin materials, and flexible TPU materials.
HUGE shoutout to Cole for being an awesome friend and believer!

And thanks to all of you for the same. We appreciate you guys trying out these new products, to better your cutting experience, and to make your saws breathe better!

Happy cutting everyone!

The kit definitely helps make this saw a “west coast” saw.
Great job on the kits!

I picked up a 36" 500i today and it felt like an AV buffer was broken. Floppy for sure.
I was on YouTube watching a video of hot saw with a 500 l . And he said the same thing when I saw it was held sideways it flops around and rubs the plastic on the air filter like it was missing av mounts

Well that would make sense as this saw started life as a 441CM.

I converted it with factory parts including the HV pump, clutch cover and wrap.

But didn't know about the springs :BangHead:

If anyone has the correct P/N I will purchase them and hopefully correct my wayward path.

Thank you for the help!

Chet

Just to answer for everyone else who is looking for the AV-spring kit hard for 1138 type saws, heres the part#: 1138 007 1003
