I hate to put this up for sale but thanks to @Stevetheboatguy I just ordered a new boat. No more Backtroller for me.

Since Al’s not taking new work, this might be your only chance to get a MOFO

This is a super clean, 1999 026pro. It had been babied and taken care of since new. It was just used for clean up and trimming mainly since new. Not many hours on the saw prior to porting. It was beautifully ported, has the 194 carb, Ducati coil, 261 spike, higher flow oem plastic mesh air filter. includes 2 extra pistons custom cut by @Deets066 as spares. It only has a few tanks through it and was not used in 2020 or this year.

starts, cut and runs great. The only “problem” is that the spark plug boot split. A zip tie has held it together for years without an issue. Never bothered to get a new boot.

$550 firm pho plus actual shipping. I have a like new Stihl 18” bar and a few .325 .063 74 chains for it if interested, but that will of course add to the price. The ole Backtroller is from 1995 and is not family friendly. Only has a 2 stroke 40 on it and not enough seats. The new boat has a Yamaha Vmax SHO

I’d probably take you up on your offer. I’m not the greatest fisherman. The fishing season doesn’t start until the first weekend of May for gamefish. I have plans though. I’ll be heading out on Greenbay in search of a 50+” musky this fall for sure.

I have wanted one of Al’s 026’s for a long time. Had I not acquired a new MOFO 261 :D I would have already bought this saw. Love my 261.GLWS

Jim I'll buy it and lease it to you for a year. The payments will be low. Just don't put more than two tanks a month on it.

This is a great deal. Considering a $300 port job, 2 extra milled slugs at $50 each, and the fact that Pat takes good care of his saws.

Pretty much you’re getting a clean 026 for $150 to start.

The 261 are sweet, but I’ll always have a sweet spot for the 026. Definitely more nimble.
