PAST Mini GTG - "Prep Rally" in NW Oregon

Couple locals have expressed interest in holding a little "Prep Rally" before Bob's GTG. So it will be at my place, about 25 minutes NW of Hillsboro OR. PM me for details.

It will be a one day thing, just a chance to get some saws out, cut cookies, take pics and vids, work out the bugs. Hopefully then we can all spend more time sawin' at Bob's, and less time fixing broken Macs and Husqys.

Date is not 100% set yet, as I am looking for some feedback form attendees. The dates I am offering are Saturday May 27th, or Sat Jun 3rd.

Ok, so we're getting a one-week extension? That's a good thing since I haven't gotten my two race saws up and running yet.

Also, I'm medically cleared to operate a chainsaw, provided it weighs no more than 40 lbs.

To Clarify:

The "Prep-Rally" Mini GTG on June 3rd is a one-day event. No need for tents or overnight plans.

Next year, Mrs. Heffalump and I hope to host a longer event, but this year is just a single day warm-up for Bob's.

Saturday is almost here!!

I've PM'd directions to all those who have contacted me. If anyone else cares to join, its not too late! It is a one-day event, no need to plan for overnights or anything like that.

My tractor will be out, there are trees to fell (nothing huge, if anyone is inclined) logs already set up for cutting, and plenty of equipment to play with.

We don't mind dogs, but we do have chickens. If your dog is not good with other dogs, or with chickens (or if you don't know) please don't bring the dog, or be prepared to keep the dog away from the chickens.

We are also kid friendly.

Tomorrow is the day!

Bring your chainsaws and appetites! I have marinated chicken drumsticks in one slow-cooker, and a pork roast in the other. Mrs Heffalump just finished whipping up veggies and sides, and is about to start baking...and making homemade tapioca!

I'll be out in the yard starting at 10am, so I won't have any cell service or internet.

If anyone else wants to come and needs directions, PM me before midnight.

To make this GTG really special, we decided to fell a few trees on the property. I've had this fallen (stump rot) maple for over a year now, and figured what better time to take it down?!?!

@madhatte helped me do a little milling with my @Chainsaw Jim ported Jonny 80/90. Jim definitely gave it the grunt. Now I need to give it some ripping chain.
