I acquired this saw in a larger lot thinking it might be a PM850 since it had the 850 style clutch cover and lower brace, I could not tell more in the poor photos I had.

I decided to go ahead and return it to a more realistic SP60 look, replaced the piston rings (cylinder and piston were excellent but compression was low), new seals, complete carburetor "go over", changed the flywheel cover since the original was cracked, new anti-vibe mounts front and rear, added the missing handle insert, replaced the lower brace with the proper style, replaced the muffler cover with a slightly better used one, and replaced the long clutch cover with a short cover including a brake. Since the cover had already been modified to accept the later flat PM style spike I put that on a well, nice because it provides better access to the chain tension adjust screw. I also made the automatic oil pump a three screw unit to insure no leaks and no mosquito fogger. I had to replace the wrap handle when changing the lower brace, since this one had been heavily wrapped with padding and friction tape I took it back down to the bare handle and left it plain. Buyer can add the wrap of their choice... I also installed one of my 3D printed sawdust screens.

I would like to get $200 + shipping for this one though I am open to other offers.

Paint is faded, and someone drilled a couple of hole in the AF cover.

As received.

There is some damage to the cooling fins from the chain.

The shroud was damaged from vibration so I did my best to repair it with an oversize washer and JB Weld, this has proven successful on a few other saws I've repaired.

With the change in the lower brace, I had to fab up a new clamp for the lower anti-vibe mount. I made this from two 1/2" HW conduit clamps.

The inner shield had a crack in it that I was able to effectively repair with some low temperature brazing rod and my Mapp torch. You can also see the "new" muffler cover and some of the lower brace in this photo.

Here it is all put together with a 24" bar and low vibration chisel chain in good condition. I did install a new 7 tooth 3/8" sprocket on the splined clutch drum.

The carburetor is and SDC, fixed H jet and "internal" idle speed adjustment. In my experience, the fixed H jet on 10 Series saws means the saw will never run lean and does indeed 4 stroke nicely out of the cut.

Last photos, I promise.

AF is in very good condition.

I did sand blast and prime and pain the replacement lower brace.

PM style spike on the SP cover.

Tape the handle any way you would like.

24" Windsor bar with chain in good condition. I did true up the bar rails with a bar rail grinder.

I am just trying to move along a few models that are somewhat overpopulated here. I will have at least two 10-10S coming up, probably a Super 250 down the road a bit.
