I acquired this saw in a larger lot thinking it might be a PM850 since it had the 850 style clutch cover and lower brace, I could not tell more in the poor photos I had.
I decided to go ahead and return it to a more realistic SP60 look, replaced the piston rings (cylinder and piston were excellent but compression was low), new seals, complete carburetor "go over", changed the flywheel cover since the original was cracked, new anti-vibe mounts front and rear, added the missing handle insert, replaced the lower brace with the proper style, replaced the muffler cover with a slightly better used one, and replaced the long clutch cover with a short cover including a brake. Since the cover had already been modified to accept the later flat PM style spike I put that on a well, nice because it provides better access to the chain tension adjust screw. I also made the automatic oil pump a three screw unit to insure no leaks and no mosquito fogger. I had to replace the wrap handle when changing the lower brace, since this one had been heavily wrapped with padding and friction tape I took it back down to the bare handle and left it plain. Buyer can add the wrap of their choice... I also installed one of my 3D printed sawdust screens.
I would like to get $200 + shipping for this one though I am open to other offers.
Paint is faded, and someone drilled a couple of hole in the AF cover.
As received.
In process.
Holds pressure & vacuum after the new seals were installed.
More photos to follow.
