What's everyone's opinions? Stihl KM94R or Echo PAS 2620? Strong points? Weak points? ...etc. I need a new trimmer this year but also really need a rubber flap wheel...maybe some other attachments later on. So figured I'd go with an attachment system. I've always liked echo trimmers but I have no dealer support close by. It's probably over an hour to the nearest dealer. Not a huge deal since I usually repair most of my own stuff but still. Now Stihl dealers I'm surrounded by and I've heard lots of good things about the 94r. I want a true old school 2-stroke. Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

I use a FS90, and just swap the KM attachments on the end of it. Works great!!

I have a fs94r and it is much nicer to use than my fs250r. The Echos work well, but I prefer the Stihl build quality much better.

Echo makes great stuff, just harder to find and keep dealers around here. That makes a difference.

Yeah I'm leaning towards stihl for that reason. The dealers are everywhere. I think the 94R is fairly bulletproof. How's long term on the 90's, 110's, and 130's? Heard some horror stories about the "4 strokes"

Mine is older than dirt and still running strong. I don't know much about the newer model fs94. Not sure if the shaft is as hardy, it is too new for me to bother with parting out.

So you just use a FS standard trimmer and the attachments work?

The fs90 has a solid steel shaft. Just loosen the gear trimmer head and slide it on, and then just slip on the attachment you have, and tighten the screws.
