Picked up this Hyway 45mm cylinder with a meteor piston for a swap on a Jonsered 2152. I have little experience with cylinders and saws in general to be honest, am wondering about a couple things. There is a band of checkered material at the top of the bore from the squish band to about half way up the the decomp hole. I can feel it with my finger, is this normal? Here are some pictures of the bore. There is also a spot under the transfers clutch side with some discoloration and a pin hole but nothing I can feel with a fingernail. On a side note I also noticed that the transfer tunnel dividing wall is not continuous and has a big gap. I am assuming that is the same on the OEM. Anybody know what the idea behind that is? Does it have to do with keeping the pressure equal in both sides of the tunnel? Thanks for any information.
