Looks good, not bad little saws, to bad about the bad gas and the brake flag. This saw is a buddy's and has been here way too long! Some bad gas did it in and took out the piston, brake flag and clutch cover. He got a AM clutch cover from HL Supply but the flag was incorrect. The saw was really clean and didnt see a ton of use. So I cleaned up the cylinder, cut the baffle out of the muffler and opened the deflector, installed a Meteor piston, new fuel line and filter, put a kit in the carb and cleaned everything. Pressure and vac tested and carb tuned and the saw runs great!
The Landrum ported 371 that was @ranchdadmike saw. What did you get?
It looks to be quite the monster, and with the huge muffler mod on it from @Homelite410 it will probably scare a few folks lol.I think he's referring to his new Monster Machine

That was pretty cooked .I dont think I did any mods to the intake. I did swap the filter and holder to the screw on model. It was a very easy saw to work on! Thought about making an offer on it when he said just put it together and I'll run it till it dies! Then I talked him into the piston and other minor parts!
Yep and was hard to believe that it melted the flag and clutch cover. It breathes a lot better and cooler now! Why are my pics showing up sideways? That was pretty cooked .
Some saws exhaust put off a lot of heat, but usually when it's that directed the screw that holds the screen in place fell out, sometimes they do something similar when the deflector/muffler gets bent, was part of the deflector missing on that one, it seems odd(I don't have much experience working on those).Yep and was hard to believe that it melted the flag and clutch cover. You can see in the one pic that the screw for the screen is there but the screen is not. The part of the screen that has the solid metal with the mounting hole would have covered the area where the heat came out. Some saws exhaust put off a lot of heat, but usually when it's that directed the screw that holds the screen in place fell out, sometimes they do something similar when the deflector/muffler gets bent, was part of the deflector missing on that one, it seems odd(I don't have much experience working on those).
